My approach

The Self-Leadership Wheel

Self-leadership is the practice of guiding your actions to achieve your goals. Done well, it builds self-agency - the ability to influence your own direction, growth, and outcomes.

The Self-Leadership Wheel breaks this down into eight areas:

Self-awareness & reflection

understanding what's working, what isn't, and why

01

Values & integrity

knowing who you want to be, and holding that line at work

02

Craft & excellence

knowing who you want to be, and holding that line at work

03

Communication & voice

being clear, confident, and heard

04

Feedback & repai

how you handle tension, growth, and relationships under pressure

05

Relationships & networking

the depth and quality of your connections

06

Visibility & personal brand

how visible and known your value is

07

Ownership & progression

taking responsibility for your own trajectory

08

We don't build these skills in a vacuum. We work on them using real examples from your everyday work - the actual meeting, the actual conversation, the actual decision - so you start seeing the benefit quickly, and the change holds.

MY BELIEFS

Self-leadership comes first

Before you can lead others well, you have to understand what's driving you. Self-awareness isn't a soft skill - it's the foundation everything else stands on.

You can have creative ambition with commercial smarts

I care deeply about creative excellence, and I understand the realities of client demands, budgets, deadlines, and pressure. This is the land of the commercial arts, and I've spent my career reconciling creativity and commerce - and helping others do the same.

How we show up matters

Self-agency is the ability to influence your own direction, growth, and outcomes. I help leaders take responsibility for their impact, while building the confidence to act, decide, and lead clearly.

Relationships are everything

Conflict, missteps, and ruptures are part of work. Learning how to repair them - and build genuinely strong relationships - is a core leadership skill, not an optional one.

Plans are the foundation of change

A plan turns intention into reality. In my work, we look at short-, mid-, and long-term intentions to get clear on what matters - and how we'll make it happen.
